Fourth Street Festival
of the Arts & Crafts
The 4th Street Festival in downtown Bloomington began showcasing the talents of southern Indiana artists and craftspeople in 1977. Now in its 33rd year, the 2010 Festival will feature works of more than 100 juried artisans from the Bloomington area and across the U.S. in an exhibit of traditional and contemporary pieces of arts and crafts. It was recently rated one of the top 50 shows in the country.
Original and unique handworked pieces on display at the Festival include wooden ware, fiber ware, jewelry, wrought iron ware, reed woven baskets, functional and art pottery, and glassworks.
In addition to the display of fine arts and crafts, the Fourth Street Festival offers live music and community booths throughout the two-day celebration.
The Festival is planned and administered by a committee of local artists and is expected to attract over 40,000 visitors.
See the Fourth Street Festival of the Arts and Crafts website for more details.
